Research

In accordance with the American Occupational Therapy Association's (AOTA) vision for 2025, occupational therapy should be evidence based, client centered, and cost-effective. Occupational therapy should be influential in changing policies, environments, and complex systems. Occupational therapy practitioners must aim to ensure effective outcomes, and it is imperative that occupational therapy provide customized services (AOTA, 2019).

NONE of this is possible without the entire field of occupational therapy's increased involvement in cultivating and participating in research!

Arthritis Trial Finder

Clinical trials are research studies that test how well new treatments work, a critical step in discovering innovative medical approaches that can provide better outcomes. The Arthritis Foundation has created an arthritis trial finder to help clients find and participate in local clinical trials.

Survey for School OT Practitioners

As part of a Florida Occupational Therapy Association (FOTA) adhoc initiative to improve mental health services, we ask you to complete a quick 10-minute questionnaire for school-based OTs and COTAs. We deeply appreciate any and all feedback, as our initiative is motivated in lieu of the event that occurred at Stoneman Douglas High-School in Parkland, FL. Thank you!
